The sale of refi.com for an even half million dollars was easily the biggest reported domain name sale for the week ending 12 March, making it the second biggest sale of 2017 to date, only eclipsed by the sale of 01.com for $1,820,000 through VIP Brokerage.
The $500,000 sale for refi.com was brokered by Buckley Media Group, who also has the third biggest sale for the year-to-date with the $300,000 sale of advance.com.
Back to the week ending 12 March and w9.com was the second biggest according to the Domain Name Journal chart in another six-figure sale, selling for $130,000 through BQDN while moremoney.com came third, selling for $67,000 through Afternic.
On the TLD side of things, .com had a particularly dominant week with 19 of the top 20 sales, the other being a .net domain. On the aftermarket side of things, Sedo had a hand in 9 sales and DomainMarket 4.
