The sale of 20.com was easily the biggest reported domain name sale in the week ending 16 April, selling for $1,750,000 through NameExperts to become the year’s second biggest sale to date, eclipsed only by another numeric .com sale, that of 01.com which sold for $1,820,000.
And 20.com was 15 times the value of the second biggest sale for the week, that of j5.com, which on most weeks would have topped the weekly chart itself, selling for $115,000 while 16.net came in third selling for $60,000, both domain names selling through Sharjil Saleem.
On the TLD side of things, there were 11 .com sales, 4 .it sales and one each for .net, .de, .eu, .org an .fr. For the aftermarket outlets there were 11 sales through Sedo, the 4 .it sales for Nidoma and two for Sharjil Saleem.
