EURid conducts an annual survey on how satisfied their registrars are with their services, and in 2016 as was in 2015, 99% of registrars report satisfaction.
Among the registrars surveyed by the .eu top level domain (TLD) registry, the result compares favourably compared to other top level domains. The next best were country code top level domain (ccTLD) registries which averaged out at 71% followed by .com (69%) and .net (52%). Interestingly both .com and .net are Verisign TLDs. Following was .info (44%), .org (43%) and .biz (37%).
Other issues covered in the EURid 2017 Registrar Satisfaction Survey were 83% report being extremely satisfied with how they listen and take on board ideas, suggestions and requirements (up 3% from 2015), 96% said they were extremely satisfied with how EURid informs them about technical changes, new features and promotional campaigns (up 3%) while 94% (down 2%) said they were satisfied to extremely satisfied with EURid’s customer service.
When comparing .eu to new generic top level domains, .eu also came out top in reliability (a score of 9.0 for .eu to 6.4 for new gTLDs), sellability (7.3 to 5.3) and investability (7.6 to 5.8).
