The money.com.au domain name sold last year (apparently), and reported this week, in what is probably the biggest reported sale to date of a .au domain name, selling for A$400,000 (US$280,320) in a private sale.
The sale was announced on the Cooper Mills Lawyers blog
Thursday and sold to Shaun McGowan who is launching a new online finance
business offering both business and car loans.
The previous largest .com.au sale was fetch.com.au which sold for A$132,000 through DBR (Domain Broker Australia) in 2017 while cruises.com.au sold for A$110,000 through dTrade in September 2013 and poker.com.au sold $100,000 through Moniker/SnapNames in 2011 according to Domain Name Journal.
